Nose SurgeryBULBOUS TIP (TIP PLASTY)

bulbous nose tip

Bulbous Tip is caused when the skin of the nasal tip is too thick or has excess soft tissue and/or the septal cartilage is too thick or big. When this type of nose is corrected, it can create a sharper and slimmer looking nose.

Tip Plasty can benefit

  1. 1. People with round and blunt nose tip
  2. 2. People with thick and wide nose tip

How is Tip Plasty performed?

For a wide and bulbous tip, it is necessary to remove the excess cartilage and/or reshape the nasal tip using septum, ear, or rib cartilages. When the shape of the tip becomes narrower, it will provide a significant improvement and bring a more defined image. It is important to maintain nasal asymmetry during the correction and it is often recommended in conjunction with dorsal augmentation to bring a more dramatic improvement.
