JK Plastic Surgery셲 Social Contribution, 쁍ew Face New Dream

Under the slogan, 쁍ew Face New Dream, JK Plastic Surgery Center is committed improving and connecting societies with the mission of sharing and community services in recognition that corporate social contribution is not about a one-time event, but requires a consistent and systematic approach.

We hope the 쁍ew Face New Dream Campaign will become the moral standard not only for Korea, but for the rest of the world.

  • Story 01. China, Zhu Juna Yi's Story
    In the morning of May 2008, explosion and fire suddenly happened on bus number 842 with 30 people in Shanghai. 15 people died from the tragic accident. Zhu Juna Yi was stuck on the bus but got help from other passengers to get out of the bus. She was then transferred to the hospital but 57% of her body was covered in second to third degree burns. Over nine years, she has received more than 50 treatments for burns but still has severe scars on her face and hands. Due to accident trauma as well, it's hard for her to live a normal life. Korea Health Industry Development Institute and JK Plastic Surgery Center invited Zhu Juna Yi to Korea to help her. JK Plastic Surgery Center selected her as a patient to receive reconstructive medical treatment, as part of JK's NEW FACE NEW DREAM charity mission. JK's charity mission provides reconstructive surgery and treatments to patients with deformities caused by severe burns.

  • Story 02. Aye Aye Aung, a victim of human trafficking in Myanmar
    In 2006, Aye Aye Aung was attacked with sulfuric acid by her husband셲 mistress and suffered serious burns on her scalp, ears, eyes, chin, neck and arms. Starting in 2008, she underwent four surgeries in Myanmar but her condition remained critical. With the support of the Korean Health Industry Development Institute and World Vision, JK Plastic Surgery Center invited her to join the 쁍ew Face New Dream Campaign in 2014, providing complimentary intractable burn scar restoration combined with stem cell therapy.

  • Story 03. Vu Quoc Linh, a victim of unprecedented family violence in Vietnam
    At age 3, Vu Quoc Linh셲 father poured gasoline on Vu Quoc Linh and then lit him on fire, causing serious burn injuries to his entire body. At the time of the accident, Vu Quoc Linh was in a critical condition. The surgeries and treatments he received in Vietnam did not produce very effective results. JK medical staff who were volunteering in Vietnam at the time heard of his situation and invited him to Korea, providing him with complimentary surgical treatments. JK Plastic Surgery Center will continue to provide Vu Quoc Linh with medical care, educational, and living support. JK Plastic Surgery Center provides burn reconstruction surgery combined with stem cell therapy for such patients with intractable burn wounds.

  • Story 04. Tan Hui-Linn, a victim of family violence in Malaysia
    Tan Hui-Linn셲 father, who suffered from a mental illness, poured hydrochloric acid on his sleeping wife which led her to die. Hui-Linn, who was sleeping beside her mother, received severe burns across her body which left her face unrecognizable. On top of running fund-raising campaigns in Malaysia to help Hui-Linn, YB Jeff Ooi, the senator of her village, searched for advanced institutions that could recover her disfigured face and came across JK셲 쁍ew Face New Dream program. Hui-Linn visits Korea at least twice a year for treatments at JK Plastic Surgery Center. She is in love with K-pop, Korean celebrities, and sports stars, and is enthusiastically learning the Korean language.

  • Story 05. Aisha Belgenova, a daughter of a single-parent family in Kazakhstan
    Living in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, Aisha is the second oldest in a single-parent home. Her family lives off of 300,000 KRW per month the mother earns from a cleaning job. While Aisha셲 mother was away at work, Aisha was playing with a lighter and caught on fire, burning her upper body, neck and face. Introduced to the program by the mayor of Pavlodar, Aisha has been receiving surgeries and treatments at JK Plastic Surgery Center.

  • Story 06. Tan Bei De, a Mongolian in China with a cleft lip and cleft palate
    Tan Bei De was born with a congenital cleft lip and cleft palate. He lives with his mother off her monthly income of less than 200,000 KRW. One day, Tan Bei De was fortunate enough to be introduced to JK Plastic Surgery Center by an acquaintance, where he received surgery and treatments for his condition. In addition to that, contestants from the Miss Asia Pacific Pageant who visited JK Plastic Surgery Center left a video and written message of encouragement and well-wishes for Tan Bei De.

New Face New Dream World Story

JK Plastic Surgery Center provided free surgeries to low-income burn patients in Gangnam District through its 쁍ew Face New Dream Campaign in collaboration with the Gangnam Borough Office.

International Medical Volunteer Services

Every year, JK Plastic Surgery Center has been participating in international medical volunteer services for low-income patients suffering from intractable diseases overseas including Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Kyrgyzstan, enhancing the world셲 awareness of Korean healthcare. JK will continuously reach out to more countries to find people in need of a helping hand and provide free surgeries through the 쁍ew Face New Dream Campaign. This in turn will disseminate the true philosophy of medicine and the excellence of Korean healthcare.

Team JK셲 Bike Run

Medical Staff in JK Plastic Surgery Center founded 쁔eam JK and gave a tour from Busan to Seoul over the course of five days for four physically disabled people. Additionally, they participated in a Bike Run Campaign to raise funds for children who are suffering from burn wounds, pediatric cancer, and intractable diseases.

Community Services

All employees of JK Plastic Surgery Center are voluntarily putting in consistent effort to support those in need at institutes for the disabled, single mother support centers, senior centers, and establishments that provide for underfed children.

JK Plastic Surgery Center 쁍ew Face New Dream Campaign

In order to create a society with a fair chance of education and sharing hope, JK Plastic Surgery Center fulfills practical sharing missions and runs participatory community service campaigns. In addition, we offer free surgery services for intractable burn wounds and face malformations to overseas patients from low-income or single-parent families.
